For most media, porn is the first sign that a new media tech is going to work.  With Internet forums, ia more general sign is spam.  And we are starting to get some.  To try to minimize the amount of spam finding its way on here, I've decided to disallow the newbie group from creating new topics.  However, you can reply to an existing topic, and once you've done just one of those, you can create a new topic.  We'll see how it goes.

There will be a bummer of a side effect of this policy;  Random folks like me will have to say something bizarre in order to say what they really wanted to say when they created their user account. ;)

Scurries off...

I don't mind bizarre as long as it's on topic.  Spam tends to not be on topic. Not to mention, if someone's going to use my vehicle to make money, then I better get my cut by dog.  I sell advertising space for fuck's sake.  Bastards are trying to steal my bandwidth.  Where's Spider Jeruselum?  I need to borrow his bowell disrupter.
