Just got through reading an interesting article and I thought I'de give the readers of BHP a couple of tidbits.  According to Doug Casey the Euro currency will be gone in five years and europe in general is starting to fall apart.  The King of Belgium King Albert II has accepted the resigination of the Prime Minister Yve Leterme because the two main factions there the dutch speakers and the french speakers have given him a vote of no confidence and hundreds of Greek Air Force pilots has called in sick on the same day as the resigination (April 26) due to their salaries being cut.  As things get worse and worse over their you can expect more and more frequent incidences some of which will no doubt be violent.  ::)

Never fails, the "Right Thinking" leftists tend to get violent when things don't go their way.

When I was last in Germany, many of the locals saw the Euro as a first step towards a consolidated government.  Not something they were smiling about.  Most of those countries have been at war with each other for the past several hundred years.

Socialism is a real force in the group think of those people.  Nice to see reality and finances jump up and slap them in the face.

I get a lot of financial e-mail and I think that it was Doug Casey that in a previous one had brought up the fact that they have been fighting with each other over there for hundreds if not thousands of years and had so many different languages and dialiects that it was insane to think that they would all become the United States of Europe which is what the transprogs were wanting.  I remember reading that if you asked either the serbs or the croations why they were fighting each other they would refer back to a battle that happened 600 years ago!  You don't see someone over here that;s ready to shoot you over the fact that your great great great grandfather served in the Union army and his served in the Confederate army.  Just goes to show how totally out of touch the transprogs are with reality.   ::)

I sometimes think they don't see the U.S. as a civilized country, due to us not having several hundred years kicking people, calling them names and rubbing their face in it..

We used to eliminate problems and in the process, taught the survivors to keep their hands and bad manners to themselves.  Want to take odds their outlook is due to several of them being on the receiving end?

Dough:  That's what we used to do in this country.  Back then you would have a jewish person living next door to a recent immigrant from iraq and they usually would have little or no friction from each other.  Then we adopted the transprog's concepts of identification such as "African American" and so on and people start thinking in terms of their ethic or nationality instead of being an American period.  Don't ever try to tell me that this was an accidental buy product.  I'm convinced that this was done to further weaken the bonds that all of share of being an American.   >:(

Hyphen-Americans were invented during the Eisenhower regime, and became popular during the following decade.  Of course a jew and an iraqi would have no friction, they both got their food at the same Kosher/Halal deli at the corner (the rules are slight between Kosher and Halal.  I could call myself a welsh-american, but I'm not sure when my father's family got here (sometime between 1840 and 1870).  Or I could call myself an english-american, since Mom's ancestor got here on the second boat to Massachusetts (no, my family did not come over on the Mayflower, but they probably crossbred with the losers who did).  Then again, he was a Scot, not likely to appreciate the honor, would rather be a british-american (which covers english, scots, welsh, cornish, manx and technically irish if you can get them to stop their religious bullshit).

Ward: How popular was it during the Eisenhower period?  I was young but alive at the time and I don't remember hearing it.  I can believe that during the late 60's that the concept came into vogue with the anti-war movement since it was a way of differentiating one minority from another but am mildly surprised that it existed before that.  ???
