Hey, I noticed that the forum link on Quantum Vibe isn't there anymore; please don't tell me that's the author's protest against those of use who (on some limited things) disagree with him; PLEASE tell me you're just fighting spammers, Scott!

I'd check out MeWe, except there seem to be no way to even take a peek without making an account first.

Facebook and Disqus are a hard no from me. I hope the forum sticks around and isn't too much work to keep running.

You can still get to the forums, you just need to click on the Big Head Press link to go to to the main page and there is a forum link under the main logo.

I end up here: https://mewe.com/join/bigheadpressforum

After enabling javascript for the site, I get an "overlay" with a blur effect, that appears to cover the content I clicked through to see.  (I guess I could screenshot it if anyone didn't get the same obvious result)

The "overlay" gives me 2 choices, sign up right then and there for the site, or I could click that "X" in the upper right corner, (which is a universal GUI convention meaning "close this window".) Try to close that window to see the content you clicked through to see and you'll be redirected to the mewe home/signup page (https://mewe.com/

So it's a social media site that wants my name and phone number, but resorts to clickbait tactics to try to twist my arm into signing up while really really proclaiming their dedication to protecting my privacy.

I'm sorry, but using sleazy pop-up advertisement tactics is not how to win over mewe's claimed target audience.

I also tried blocking elements with uBlock Origin, sometimes you can block the pop-overs and see the content, but no dice here. Or it's a more complex block than the "eyedropper" tool can peer behind.

It sends me straight to https://forum.bigheadpress.com/

Is your browser infected with a redirecting malware program?

You're not missing anything. I just used the inspector to delete the classes obscuring the page, and the page is a mockup. Just the banner and not even lorem-ipsum for the two "posts". Just animated "blur strips" to simulate hidden text.
