I must remind people that the character of Bettie Mae West is entirely fictional; she is a composite of several different pin-up girls from the 1940s and 1950s. Her father-in-law was the fictional adventure character James West, and her late husband was named after West's partner Artemis Gordon.

I was kind of wondering if the Agent West character referred to many times in the story was in fact James West of the Secret Service.  "The Wild Wild West" was one of my favorite TV shows when I was growing up and conincidentially one of the best episodes in my opinion was the "Night of the flying pie pan".    ;D  ;D
