O.K., page 11 brings up a point which has been driving me crazy since Henry Martyn: How the heck should one mentally pronounce the printer's section-mark in "printer's section-mark fields"?  :-\

According to Neil it's pronounced, "sector-field." I have no idea why he uses the printer's section mark. But he's quite insistent about it.

The annoying part for me is that the mark is not included in the lettering font I use. I have to switch to a different font which includes the mark, and type "Alt-0167" to make the mark show up, then tweak the kerning to position it properly. What a pain in the ass. Grumble-grumble.

Whenever I have read it, I have pronounced it "para". Like paratronic in his other novels.
Then again I always though the symbol was for paragraph anyway, which is why chose the pronunciation to begin with.
Nothing is forever, but the internet comes close.

I know me, I've seen me do it.
