Quantum Vibe / Re: What happened to Ralf?

Well, if Ralf got assimilated, it was on the rogue Cush starship that "caught" him & Ethine not the Cush starship that Theo used as a Command starship.

Thus he wouldn't have been one of the Cush cyborgs that attacked Murphy.

Now, the cyborgs that he was fighting (the last we saw him) were under the direct control of the Gamer Gods so once the conversation with Ethine started, the cyborgs might have stopped fighting him.

Now he might have continued to attack the cyborgs but I also doubt that the Gamer Gods would care how many cyborgs he destroyed.

Of course, I could be wrong.  ;)

I believe Ralf got assimilated when Ethine had her conversation so he may well be dead by now (ripped apart by Murphy).

Eh, i'm a bit unclear as to what Ethine's role is.  The Cush were supposed to be an NPC race operating according to a background story.  If they are now a player race (?) then Ethine has some pretty hefty advantages and disadvantages with their superior tech and inability to innovate.

Quantum Vibe / Eithne vs The Gamer Gods
« Last post by DrakBibliophile on November 10, 2017, 07:28:12 pm »
I'm wondering if the Gamer Gods have "bitten off" more than they can chew when they invited Eithne to take part in their "Fun And Games".

Yes, they have thousands of years of practice (IIRC this wasn't their first gaming secession), but they may have also been playing the games only between the four of them.

They may have gotten into habits of play that Eithne will be able to use against them.

Since these Gamers seem very human like in mentality, I suspect that they have some sort of "super-computers" to allow themselves to be so god-like.

If they are serious about having Eithne take part in their games, they'd have to give Eithne some link to their "super-computers" to make her an equal (or near-equal) to them.

So perhaps Eithne may learn more about their "technology" than they suspect she could.

Of course, I'm also wondering if they are the only ones of their kind in the universe.

Are they youngsters of their kind and what would their Elders think about them allowing Eithne to link to their "super-computers"?

Those "Cat-People" seem more human-like than Ralf (or others of his species).

I wondered if they were "special creations" of the Gamer Gods rather than part of  the various species that the Gamer Gods had "up-lifted".

But I agree that "what happened to Ralf" is a loose end.

So saw today's comic (end of the story line).

So what happened to Ralf?  We see two others of his race with Eithne.  Would have thought we'd see him as one of the 2.  Did something happen to him during the Cush attack?  Did he not survive?  Surprised he wasn't mentioned or did I miss something.

Both have the more or less same definition. Balmy is the North American version. Barmy is British.
Actually "balmy" is the formal version in both North American and British English. "Barmy" is a slang form used in Britain.
Theo is an educated Briton. Attended Eaton, Cambridge and Oxford, on scholarships.

Any further word here, as we near the end of Assimulation?  Still hoping for both DTC and Kindle availability.

Dictionary.com disagrees with you.

Your comic, your colloquialisms. It's not like I'm trying to get banhammnered for disagreeing with the author. Please, be gentle kind sir!!

Oh, relax. I only use the banhammer on Nazis, Stalinists, and IRS agents.
